YOUTH
Nursery
Clean and secure for newborn to age 3 available for every service.
Sunday School Classes
Every Sunday at 10 AM for Pre-K & Kindergarten, 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade.
Vacation Bible School
Usually the first full week of July, kids (1st-6th grade) will have a fun time with Bible lessons, skits, games and snacks.
Jr. Camp
Usually the first full week of June, kids in our church, ages 8-12, enjoy growing in the Lord in a fun and exciting environment.
Teen Camp
Youth Rallies
Usually the third full week in June, ages 13-18 play team activities and worship the Lord with AM and PM services that change lives.
During the school year, we schedule a few youth rallies to encourage our teens spiritually.
PUBLIC
Outreach
Streeting preaching and singing, handing out Gospel tracts, knocking doors
Visitation
Following up with visitors, acquaintances, and encouraging shut-ins
Nursing Home
Church Services
Bringing a church service to a skilled nursing facility.
Parade Float
Representing our church and sharing the Gospel at Christmas parades in the greater Houston area.
Christmas Play
Inviting the community to see the dramatized story of Jesus' birth, life, death and ascension.
MISSIONS
Ladies Quilting
Ladies make dozens of quilts with Scripture to give to missionaries when they visit our church.
Card Signing
Ladies meet quarterly to decorate and sign cards to mail to our missionary families on the field.
Prayer Letter Packet
Copies of missionary prayer letters are passed around to read and actively pray for our missionary families.
Mission Trips
Several trips are planned in a year to go visit our missionaries on the field to encourage them.
Missions Conference
M.K. Birthday Party
Always the second week in October, our missions conference is the most important meeting of our year.
During the missions conference, we will throw a birthday party for all the missionary kids that are with us in attendance.
MUSIC
Special Music
Special music is prepared for every service.
Church Choir
From age 10-110, the church choir sings once a month.
Music School
A week in May where professional musicians and teachers come in to teach shape note music, singing and specialized acoustic instrument lessons.

COLLEGE & CAREER
Bible Study Group
The young adult group schedules times to meet for a Bible Study and fellowship together usually on Saturdays .
Activities
Some Sunday nights, they meet up to play volleyball or basketball in the church gymnasium.
SHADY ACRES CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Shady Acres Christian School is a small Christian school started by our previous pastor's wife, Mrs. Marsha Farley. She had a burden to get our children out of the public school system. She founded the school and taught it for many years. We host grades K-12, and we currently have approximately 40 students. Bro. Nathan and Mrs. Carrie Cox currently teach and administrate the school. Our mission is to strive to provide a Christ-centered education that will enrich the children both academically and spiritually. It is our desire that each student will come to know and love the Lord as their personal Saviour and strive for academic excellence. |
