Rachel Muniz Funeral

Rachel F. Muniz was born September 19, 1934, and passed away May 26, 2025, at the age of 90

Rachel, a beloved wife, wonderful mother, and loving grandmother, passed away on May 26,2025 surrounded by her family.

She was the heart of our home—steadfast in love, generous in spirit, and endlessly kind. As a wife, she shared a deep and enduring bond with Everado as a mother, she offered guidance, comfort, and unconditional love; and as a grandmother, she brought joy, wisdom, and warmth to every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion lives on in all of us who were blessed enough to be loved by her.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Everado Merino Muniz; children, Cynthia A. Galvan, Roy A. Perez and wife Isabel, Dolores R. Orozco and husband Frank, and Luis C. Martinez; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Franco.

She is preceded in death by her son, David M. Martinez; parents, Carlos and Rodriga Franco; and siblings, Richard Franco Sr., Carlos Franco Jr., and Ofelia Franco Galvan.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Shady Acres Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas.
